3D cell-based hollow liver capsules for drug screening assays

Using the Cellular Capsules Technology, we aime to recapitulate the environmental cues received by hepatocytes in vivo, including the physical interactions between PHHs and non-parenchymal cells, the secreted chemical signals, and some mechanical cues. This controlled micro-compartmentalization strategy is expected to ensure the formation of the metabolic zonated-like architecture within 3D hepatic spheroids and lead to relevant drug screening assays (ANR REVIL 2021).
